How bill splitting works
Splitting a bill means dividing the total cost — including any tip — among the people sharing the expense. You can split evenly or assign custom amounts when some people ordered more.
Equal split
per person = (bill + tip) ÷ number of people
Example: $120 bill + 20% tip ($24) split 4 ways → each person pays $36.00.
Custom split
Assign each person what they owe
